If you are an attorney trying to weigh the importance of law firm SEO for business development, you need to know one key fact: 96% of
In a year that has brought such disruption to all our lives, we are now experiencing another great loss. Stephen Fairley — our firm founder, mentor to thousands of attorneys, son, brother, and much beloved friend — passed away on October 5, 2020.
Those of you who held Stephen close may already be aware that he had been quietly battling cancer for several years. It is so telling of his character that, in the last few months of his life, when he could have chosen to spend his precious remaining time doing what he personally loved, he chose to do what he loved professionally: helping attorneys navigate the very real threat to their firms from the COVID-19 pandemic. He spent countless hours on the phone and in webinar sessions simply doing what he had always done — giving guidance, hope, and sometimes a much-needed kick in the pants to lawyers to help them not just survive but actually thrive during this national crisis.
Stephen’s legacy will be one of a compassionate man with an exceptional life story, unparalleled integrity, and many people who loved and respected him. Our promise is that his life’s work will continue through the company he built from nothing into the nation’s largest law firm marketing company.
Stephen was passionate about helping attorneys achieve a Lifestyle Law Firm–one that is financially successful, personally satisfying and gives you the freedom to enjoy your life and the time do what is important to you.
He practiced what he preached. He achieved his own goal of working 1 to 3 days a month and fulfilled his passion to travel. While he was out exploring the globe, our legal marketing experts continued to provide proven marketing solutions that have helped many attorneys grow their law firms.
Stephen was exceptionally proud of the team he built at the Rainmaker Institute. He followed the advice he always gave his clients: the only way to ensure steady and sustained growth is to hire superstars. His driving purpose has been deeply embedded in the DNA of our company and will continue in spite of his physical absence.
Thank you for taking a few moments of your day to remember with us the memories Stephen gave, the good he did, and the dreams he helped make real for others.
